“I started my career as a fashion designer and to this day, I still design and make all my own clothing from start to final product. I was fortunate to travel for a few years and in that time of, I saw some amazing and expensive bags and shoes in some of the most fashionable cities in the world. I then decided to start my own handbag and shoes range that is made here, in Cape Town, using only the best quality and keeping the products affordable.”
“Olivia derived from Latin “Oliva”, meaning Olive tree of Heave, Symbol of peace.
The Olivia Lincoln Brand is all about luxury leather handbags, shoes and accessories, handcrafted in Cape Town offering beautiful products that are unique, great quality and affordable.
All the leather I use is bovine cow hide. I love using printed leathers and do not use real snake, ostrich or crocodile hide.”

“Art and design has always been in my life. I lose myself in it and express myself through it. Against the odds that life can throw… like that well paid corporate job I had…I chose to recreate my life and follow my JOY. Each piece I make is inspired by life, love and beauty.
I love sharing this expression of RAWJOY with others. I meet amazing people along the way and I am grateful and excited for where this Journey is taking me.”
“To wear rawjoy is to be fearless. To connect with a piece that is an extension of your inner self. It’s about evoking connection, emotion and passion through wearable art. Each stone is hand selected, each piece with its own unique styling and energy flowing through it.
Made from genuine leather, metal and semi-precious stone and put together by hand in Cape Town South Africa. Dare to be Different! Originality is Freedom!
Finding your passion in life is definitely a journey. The name first started as JOY – as these creations brought me so much Joy in what was a challenging time of my life. It also happens to be my mom’s name; an inspirational woman in my life and best friend.
The addition of RAW brought boldness, vulnerability and inner power to my designs.
RAWJOY made perfect sense.”

“I can’t say I remember when my interest in fashion grew, it’s been that long of a time and that deep of a love. It’s always been a very big part of who I am, the passion grew from my love of sketching and painting, into an obsession with fabrics to fashion photography and styling and through this journey my line Love Story was born.”
– Lerato Moloi (27)
After studying as a fashion design student at the London International School of Fashion, the young student completed a school internship programme with current household name, designer Thula Sindi. Lerato’s career in the industry spans from magazine styling, content production, buying and merchandising, till finally the creation of her very own clothing label Love Story Collections.
She compares her collection to the sketches kept in the sketchbooks that she uses both past and presently, as with each range her creations get to come to life. Each collection is inspired and tells its own unique story. Be it about a particular person the designer is influenced by, falling in love with a new country and its customs or the feelings she wishes to inspire within the women that she dresses.
The Johannesburg based designer has a trained eye for garment fabrication, fit and finish. Her design aesthetic is classically based with characteristics of modern trends. The designs are kept simplistic with clean silhouettes but are always fitted at the waist to accentuate the female form.
Lerato believes that she still has a long journey ahead of her in the clothing industry and hopes to continue being able to share her love for fashion through her clothing line with women all across South Africa and eventually the rest of the world.
Fashion is an extension of who you are, it is better left to be interpreted by each individual. Love Story is therefore not just a fashion brand but a way of defining yourself.
Our aim in each collection is to express feeling through our creations , to create a symbol of individuality. We want you to feel sexy, confident, elegant, playful, sophisticated or powerful each time you wear your Love Story piece.
We create luxurious, carefully crafted garments that flatter the female form for everyday wear and special occasions.
Design consultations: Our sit down sessions include design options and samples for your viewing , these are tailor made to suit your body shape and specifications. A custom Love Story garment will then be created for you.
Personal shopping and styling: This luxury service is the ultimate way to shop because we do it for you. Whether you need styling, a complete wardrobe make over or assistance with making your current wardrobe work better, we can provide you with everything you need.

“My interest in and attraction to lingerie and swimwear started many years ago and was one of the main reasons that motivated me to study Fashion Design.
In 2011, I moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where I had the opportunity to start my own swimwear and lingerie brand. During my time in Cape Town I’ve made a special effort to rediscover beauty everywhere I go and in everyone I meet. This has driven me to create new lines of swimwear and lingerie based on the beauty of Cape Town’s people and natural environment.”
“My garments are hand-made with lots of love in Kalk Bay, Cape Town. I focus mostly on tailor-made swimwear and lingerie, but also offer a very limited range of ready to wear swimwear. I source only the best materials available for my garments and work with independent illustrators to design unique prints used in my collections of swimwear.
Loyde Triana swimwear and Lingerie believes every woman should be comfortable and feel pretty and modern. My brand therefore works with the MIX-MATCH-MISMATCH concept, where clients can buy only the piece they need, in a size that fits them.

Cynthia Edwards graduated from Michaelis School of Fine Arts as a Printmaker. While living and working in Taiwan she began to practise her skills at woodblock printing. It was here where the idea to adorn things other than paper with her designs was born. She has always had a passion for fashion and art so the combination of printmaking and textile design was a natural evolution.
Cynthia now lives and works from her sunny studio in Muizenberg, Cape Town, with her partner and fur-child.
This studio is also used as the venue for her Textile Print workshops, where Cynthia is able to convey her knowledge and skills to enthusiastic followers keen to learn the basics of this art form.
Lichen & Leaf was launched at the beginning of 2015, specialising in hand printed fabrics and products. The brand started with simple items decorated with Cynthia’s experiments on fabric and has since developed many new ideas and products. Lichen & Leaf has a strong focus on slow fashion, small production pieces and craftmanship with the desire to honour the process behind production. All fabric and leather is block printed by Cynthia and she has gathered a group of women from around Cape Town who help her with assembly.
Look out for Lichen & Leaf’s new range of screen printed designs coming soon!
